About Paxton

The small country village of Paxton lies next to the Rivertweed and is a well known spot for salmon fishing. It lies just one mile west to the border with the England.

Nearby is the famous Paxton House which was built by the Adam brothers in 1758 for the young Patrick Home. It is a great example of 18th century neo-Palladian architecture in Scotland. Vistors can experience a guided tour including exploring the fully restored working Georgian kitchen.
