Eskdalemuir is a small but welcoming village, around 10 miles north east of Lockerbie. The area is well known for the Eskdalemuir Observatory and for the nearby Samye Ling Tibetan Buddhist monastery. There is a cafe and bar in Eskdalemuir called 'The Hub’, which also comprises as the village shop and a spacious art exhibition hall.
