This short loop travels to the east of Selkirk with a gradual climb out of the town before descending into the Ettrick Valley.

The route is undulating with a couple of stiff climbs before dropping down to the Ettrick Water at Carterhaugh Bridge. Make time to visit Bowhill Country Estate before returning to Selkirk. Selkirk is not on the route but has a great variety of ammenties and facilites.
