About Tweed Valley Railway

The Tweed Valley Railway Path is 6 miles long and was opened in 2013. The multi-use track is for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. It includes an attractive new bridge east of Cardrona. The path is surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife with stoats, red squirrels, birds and fish breaking the flow of the river. Informative signposts along the way add to the experience. Torches are recommended for the short journey through the railway tunnel towards Peebles.
