The Steam Packet Inn

The Steam Packet is a family run village pub with contemporary dining and it's own brewery.

About The Steam Packet Inn

A traditional village pub, The Steam Packet has at it's heart two bar areas and a restaurant which overlook the unspoilt harbour of Isle of Whithorn. Seven recently renovated en-suite bedrooms offer visitors a peaceful space to watch the world go by or to relax in after a busy day walking, cycling or sailing in and around the village.
In 2021, the Steam Packet merged with No1 Fleet Street Restaurant, formally from Gatehouse, to create a new contemporary dining offer with a focus on local, seasonal fresh produce, sourcing everything within a twenty-mile radius - if not from the pub's own gardens or direct from the harbourside.
Quality beer and real ale have always been central to the drinks we offer. We have been in the Good Beer Guide for over 20 years, are Cask Marque accredited and are the current CAMRA area pub of the year. As well as stocking a broad choice of mainstream brands we have 8 cask ale lines, four of which are always from Five Kingdoms Brewery - our very own, in-house brewery set up in 2015 and already a winner of multiple awards for its beers with CAMRA, SIBA and in the Great Taste Awards
