Dating back to the 1700s, this traditional cottage underwent a smart makeover to offer attractive holiday accommodation for 6 guests to enjoy the rural life. The cottage benefits from a wood-burning stove, a downstairs twin bedroom and bathroom for those with mobility issues and two upstairs double bedrooms (king-size).

In the enclosed garden to the front of the cottage, the peaceful feeling continues and the lovely al fresco dining area provides the ideal spot to fully appreciate the soothing sounds of the surrounding bird song.

Equestrians will love being able to bring their horse along with them as stabling and grazing can be arranged, as well as great hacking nearby. Those preferring to get on their bikes will enjoy the quiet roads nearby and there bike storage is available.

There are 2,500 acres of estate land to explore and wildlife (including red squirrels) can be spotted at each and every turn. Mountain bikers can take to the trails that run through nearby Craik Forest or try out the trails at the two excellent 7stanes mountain biking centres at Innerleithen and Glentress.

Hawick, just a short drive away, has all the shops and eateries one could wish for and is also home to The Borders Distillery where fascinating tours are on offer of this facility that produces whisky, gin and vodka.
