Guided vehicle based and walking tours devised by tour guide Fiona Stoddart of Solwayconnections guided tours - a unique insight into the history and culture of the beautiful Scottish Solway coast and Borders. Using her in-depth local knowledge and network of contacts in the region, Fiona devises and guides tour itineraries which explore the lesser-known and more ‘off the beaten track’ areas of stunning south Scotland. Solwayconnections guided tours visit picturesque landscapes and fascinating heritage sites, whilst sharing the history and the stories of local people and their lives. Tours can also be designed to focus on or include different interests such as visits to local gardens, artisan food and drink producers or the opportunity to meet local creative talents including artists, crafts people and regional textile makers. Fiona usually meets tour groups at their accommodation in Gretna Green, Annan, Dumfries or Langholm.
