The statue is right outside of the Courtroom, where Sir Walter Scott sat as Sheriff of Selkirkshire. It's now a museum with a a courtroom featuring a recreation of cases being heard by Sir Walter Scott. It also includes information on James Hogg, ‘The Ettrick Shepherd’ and explorer Mungo Park.
