About Reading Lasses

Reading Lasses is more than a bookshop. It’s a feminist bookselling space, a meeting place and a small but important part of Wigtown’s literary life especially during the Book Festival.

The shelves include fiction and prize winning titles from The Women’s Prize for Fiction, The Booker Prize and the Pulitzer Prize. We stock women in translation, art, travel, nature, science and earlier women writers from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
