No4 is a bed and breakfast establishment that offers a place for guests to come and stay to relax and enjoy the hospitality and ambiance of Portpatick, the jewel of South West Scotland.
There are three double en-suite rooms, one with a view over the putting green and across to the sea. The double room downstairs can also be turned into a twin room.
No4 prides itself on a warm welcome, a comfy bed, a good shower, a hearty breakfast and some banter thrown in for good measure. No4 is pet friendly too and four legged friends are always welcome.
Portpatick can be your base to explore the many attractions of the area or to just chill out and relax. There are some lovely walks along the coastal path and for the more adventurous it’s the beginning or end of the southern upland way.
If you’re interested in gardening there are plenty of formal gardens to visit nearby. A short drive from Portpatick is the southern most point of Scotland, The Mull of Galloway with the stunning lighthouse, working foghorn and delightful cafe, The Gallie Craig. On a clear day you can see the Isle of Man and the coast of Northern Ireland.
Portpatick is a good base to discover the Galloway forest, particularly known for its dark skies. The area is home to a variety of local artists that display their work in local galleries and shops.
If all that doesn’t tempt you, the homemade shortbread in your room or sourdough toast on the breakfast menu might do.
