About Luckenburn Cottage

The start of your Scottish adventure awaits at secluded Luckenburn Cottage that is set by a babbling burn surrounded by picturesque wooded hills in the wonderful Scottish Borders. With wildlife to keep an eye out for right on the doorstep and the lack of light pollution allowing an array of stars to be spotted, it couldn’t get any more idyllic.

With the lack of TV signal and WiFi, it is time for a very welcome break away from technology and the chance to relax into the peaceful pace of country life. Luckenburn has a great, flexible layout inside where all of the three bedrooms can be laid out as either twin or double (queen-side) depending on preference.

The house’s wraparound, south-facing desk is the perfect place to sit and take in the scenery and gorgeous Cheviot hills. This really is the ultimate hideaway in which to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and re-connect with nature.

Once settled into the house it is time to don the wellies and get out and about exploring. This is certainly walking country and there are many different routes to try out, including the Pennine Way and the Southern Upland Way to name only two. The market towns of Jedburgh (13 miles) and Kelso (19 miles) have all of the shops, pubs and restaurants you could wish for, as well as historic sights such as their 12th century Abbeys.
