About Knockman Wood

Cumloden Deerpark is an area of land which was converted to a deer park for sport in the early nineteenth century. Close to the gate where the route enters Knockman Wood, an archaelogical trail has been laid out which explains the earlier farming landscape of fermtouns and corn kilns .
