The Johnstone Mausoleum at Westerkirk Graveyard was designed in 1790 by Robert Adam. It was made for John Johnstone of Alva and is a fine example of the use of the Greek Doric Order in Scotland. The has a prominent lead covered dome and features two pairs of columns supporting a pediment and frieze. It is gated shut but the cemetery is open. The mausoleum was restored by Solway Heritage in 1998.
