About Hutton's Unconformity Sculpture

The sculpture, also known as 'The Eel' is a tribute to geologist James Hutton's (1726-1797). Hutton is regarded as the founder of modern geology with his first discovery 'uniformitarianism', which he did on the banks and bed of the Jed Water.
