Nestling in the Border hills is Hartleap – a peaceful and secluded 150 year-old cottage renovated to a high standard of comfort and style. With just one double room for guests and private dining and sitting room, you can be assured of exclusive and individual attention. Whether you want to have an activity break with some of the best on and off road cycling in Southern Scotland on the doorstep, walk part of the Southern Upland Way, explore local sights or simply stroll around the extensive garden with stream and hillside walks our aim is to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.

The bedroom, with king-size bed, en-suite shower room, organic cotton bed linen and complimentary toiletries has views across sheep dotted hills. Tea and coffee making facilities with home-made shortbread are provided in your room.

With an emphasis on organic produce and home cooking, meals are a highlight of the Hartleap experience. A lavish breakfast is freshly prepared to suit all tastes and evening meals – from a light two-course supper to a candle-lit dinner – feature vegetarian and fish dishes cooked with flair allowing the quality of the seasonal ingredients from our organic kitchen garden to be fully appreciated. Then, after a long day, guests can unwind in the sitting room with satellite TV, DVDs, music and books and a log fire if it's chilly.
