About Demijohn

Demijohn is a specialist food and drink business, founded in 2004 by Angus and Frances Ferguson. Its main outlet is open daily to the public and located within the beautiful rural property of Glenlair Steading, which forms part of their home and farm.

Working with small producers both locally in Galloway and throughout the country, often using ingredients gathered from Glenlair Farm, they have created a unique range of over 70 delicious sustainably sourced products.

A trip to Demijohn would not be complete without tasting some of the amazing food and drink products on offer, presented in large balloon shaped glass containers. It would be a delightful gastronomic experience for any food and drink enthusiast.

From quirky drinks such as Bramble Scotch Whisky, Seville Orange Gin and Pear & Cinnamon Cordial, to first class Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars, there is something for all tastes.

Once a product is chosen it is then bottled in-store at Glenlair Steading into a beautiful refillable glass bottle, with a handwritten label.

Demijohn products are not only eco-friendly, they can make fabulous, personalised food and drink gifts.

Customers regularly return to refill their Demijohn glass bottles either in-store or using their revolutionary mail order refill service to be kind to the environment and save money on the cost of a new glass bottle.

Regular tastings and events are held at Glenlair Steading throughout the year. All events, including private Events can be booked via the Demijohn website.

All Demijohn products can be purchased in-store or online for delivery.
