Dalbeattie lies in the Urr Valley, south west of Dumfries. Also known as ‘The Granite Town’ due to its granite quarries, Dalbeattie makes a great base to explore the area with its nearby forests, castles and gardens.

It's a perfect choice for those who like golfing and fishing and for mountain bikers, as it is home to one of the 7Stanes Mountain Bike Trails.

And of course, it sits on South West Coastal 300 driving route.
