Following an old drove road and part of the Borders Abbeys Way this circular route goes over Drinkstone Hill. The route also follows part of the journey taken by the horse-riders during the tour of the marches during Hawick Common Riding. There is an option to extend your route up to Ogilvie’s Cairn; W. H. Ogilvie was a well loved local poet and writer who captured the feeling of the area through his words.
Distance: 6.5 miles and will take approximately 3 hours
