About Borders Distillery - Tour & Tasting

Visit the first Scotch Whisky distillery in the Borders since 1837, located in the centre of Hawick. Let the Borders Distillery team take you through their mashhouse and stillhouse to see detailed insights into the the whisky making process, finishing off in the bar for a taste of 2 drinks of your choice. For any guests wishing to drive, drivers bottles are available for you to take away and enjoy at your leisure.

Opening hours

Mon - 10:00-16:30

Sat - 10:00-16:30
Tours run 3 times per day Monday to Saturday at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Under 18's are welcome to tour free of charge and do not require a booking space, but must be accompanied by an adult. From Sunday 14th June 2026 the distillery will be open for tours 7 days a week
