About Blue Cabin by the Sea
Cove Harbour nestles within some of Scotland’s most attractive and undiscovered coastline, the East Coast.
The harbour is popular with families and others to visit, swim, explore the rock pools and enjoy the shelter and sun. It is used by boats fishing for crab and lobsters throughout the year, and by recreational craft in the summer. The area is a haven for wildlife, including eider duck, herons, goldfinches and linnet. Profusions of primroses, orchids, blackthorn, whin, dog rose, blackberry flowers and fruits mark the seasons. The first view of the harbour and Blue Cabin after passing through the tunnel (bring a torch) is one of Scotland’s finest sights, in any weather and at any time of the year.
The calm, fabulous atmosphere and wealth of detail in the Blue Cabin is only matched by the extraordinary beauty of its surroundings. The Blue Cabin sleeps up to four, with two bedrooms and a shower room. One bedroom has a double box bed, the other two box bunks. Bedding and towels are provided. The views of the beach, harbour, cliffs and the tunnel from the vantage point of living room and the terrace outside are fabulous. The living room is furnished with Orkney chairs, a fine table and chairs, original and specially commissioned art. Off the living room is a small kitchen fitted with fridge, hob, combination oven microwave, and dishwasher. The Blue Cabin is cosy, electrically heated and fuel is supplied for the stove. It is also equipped with Wi-Fi and TV.
