Beirhope Alpacas
About Beirhope Alpacas
Beirhope Alpacas lies in the heart of the Cheviot Hills; once a farm, now home to a growing herd of Alpacas. Within a 75 min drive from both the Edinburgh City By Pass and Newcastle Upon Tyne, Beirhope offers the chance to escape the hustle and bustle of life to spend with the friendly Alpacas. What could be better!
On offer are various options from a Trek (walk into the hills) to 'meet-a-paca'. The male Alpacas are all experienced with meeting people and walking and will take you on the most spectacular journey through the Cheviot Hills. Along the way there is an abundance of wildlife to be seen, and some fantastic photo opportunities both of the landscape and of course Alpacas. Alpaca selfies make for great fun! The female Alpacas and their babies will happily let you feed them treats which are supplied for you.
Additional seasonal visits, such as Christmas, Easter and Summertime specials are on offer; the Alpacas have attended weddings and parties as as the main attraction. Bespoke packages for groups of all sizes from two to twenty people can be arranged. The barn provides a place to warm up in winter and cool down in summer. With complimentary hot & cold drinks on offer to visitors Beirhope is a place for all to feel welcome, to relax and to have some fun.
Beirhope Alpaca Yarn is a luxurious locally produced product with true Scottish Borders Provenance. Considered like cashmere, Alpaca Yarn is supersoft, warm and cosy.
Beirhope Alpacas offers a variety of unique opportunities to spend time with Alpacas. A great, fun and friendly visit for all
