About Barstobrick

Barstobrick is a great place to explore the beautiful Galloway countryside on one of our walking trials or on horse back. The trails include the hike to Neilson's monument with panoramic views of the local area and out toward the Isle of Man, the walled garden at Queenshill as well as an insight into local wildlife, history and the farming activities taken on here. The Ridge Trail is 2.2km and The Hot Blast Trail is 5.5km. For the young and the young at heart, The Galloway Faerie Trial explores the enchanted land at Barstobrick where our faeries need help to solve the mystery of the missing faerie dust. This trail is 1.1km and is suitable for buggies and wheelchairs. For the more adventurous, Barstobrick horse riding centre offers treks and lessons for all ages and abilities. Booking is essential. Complete your visit with lunch and homemade baking in the coffee shop which over looks the indoor riding school. Maps and clue sheets for all the trails can be purchased here.
