About 18 Castle Street

Dating from the later part of the 18th century, this building at one time housed the rooms of the Burgh Court and several legal offices. The shop front at ground floor level is a later addition. At the side, the pattern of the windows is unusual. Notice how the top of the doorway is merged with the sill of the largest window.
