Once you’ve experienced gravel biking, it’s hard to be satisfied with anything else. The variety of terrain, the steep climbs, the expansive views, and townside stops all add to a trail’s worthiness, and we have plenty that offer up that kind of itinerary in the South. Wend your way through forests and seaside towns, ancient abbeys and pretty lochs with our fantastic gravel biking routes.

Experience the mixed surfaces, views and experiences in the Tweed Valley in the Borders and the Galloway Forest Park in the west. The area around Gatehouse of Fleet is now home to two major gravel races, one with UCI status, so be sure to head for the Raider’s Road and the area in general to test your metal.
