Did you ever wonder how to become a bookseller? It is a dream for many people! The Bookseller’s Trail is a walking trail around the many book shops and book related businesses in Wigtown, Scotland’s National Book Town.

But this trail, for the first time, shines a spotlight on each of the personalities behind the shopfront. Journey with us as we discover how the booksellers found Wigtown or how Wigtown found the booksellers?

The Bookseller’s Trail was originally created in 2026 by Wigtown Festival Company with support from Best of British funding.
