Cavers & Stobs

Cycling

This large loop from Hawick initially heads south from the town before turning east. The route climbs steeply before making a long descent past Ormiston and Cauldmill.

There is some intermittent climbing with views out over Teviotdale beyond the distinctive Cavers Church. Beyond the summit Rubers Law comes into view to the south-east. The road descends past East Middle Farm, followed by a rather steeper ascent before reaching Whitriggs Farm. And on to Hawthornside. The route continues on towards Stobs before turning north following the Slitrig Water and back to Hawick.
