About Wooplaw Woods

Wooplaw Woods is a community woodland that came to be around 25 years ago. It is 55 acres and several buildings, ponds, a stream, paths and 3 marked trails. It was created by Tim Stead, a wood sculptor and furniture maker who lived nearby in the village of Blainslie who wanted to try to replace some of the massive elm, oak and ash trees he had used in his works of art.
