About Tynron Doon Nature Walk

This 6km walk starts at Tynron Hall Car Park. Following the path signs into the wood known as Auchengibbert, the path leads you the top of Tynron Doon with its remains of a multivallate iron age hill fort. It was occupied on and off from the 1st millennium BC until the 16th century, hill fort.

The route is steep in places, but the views are outstanding of the Nith Valley. Either retrace your steps on take a steep decent to the road back towards the village.
