The Green Frog Campsite is a serene and eco-friendly camping destination nestled in a picturesque natural setting. Located amidst lush greenery and tranquil landscapes, it offers campers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The campsite is known for its commitment to sustainability, featuring eco-conscious facilities and practices that minimize environmental impact.

The campsite is surrounded by forests, meadows and nearby peaceful lochans providing an ideal backdrop for nature lovers. Visitors can enjoy scenic hikes, bird watching, and exploring local flora and fauna.
The Green Frog Campsite is equipped with solar-powered facilities, toilets/showers, and recycling, ensuring a low carbon footprint. Campers are encouraged to practice Leave No Trace principles to preserve the environment.
Variety of Pitches: Whether you prefer pitching up with electric hook-up, awning, or just stand alone, each pitch has its own merits. Advance booking is recommended if you have specific requirements. *(As we are not a large commercial site, we are unable to accept Motorhomes/Caravans etc that exceed 8 metres in length)
The campsite has its own onsite fishing lochans and is close to a range of outdoor activities, including kayaking and nature walks. There’s also a designated area for BBQs on the site.
We Welcome Dogs: Well behaved dogs, on a lead at all times, on site and in our cafe and grounds. Dogs are free, a maximum of 3, and not on the dangerous dog list.

The Green Frog Cafe is a destination nestled in a picturesque grounds and a natural setting. Located amidst lush greenery, tranquil landscapes and water adjacent decking area. We offer a selection of locally sourced food along with daily specials, cakes and tray bakes made in house daily.

The cafe is surrounded by forests, meadows, and peaceful lochans , providing an ideal backdrop for breakfast, lunch, or even just a coffee on the deck.
The Green Frog Cafe has a range of eco practices including compostable containers, eco friendly cleaning products and of course, recycling.
Range of Menu: We are happy to offer a menu to suit most dietary requirements including Gluten, Dairy or Meat free options available.
Childrens Play: Inside the cafe we offer a soft play area for children 7 years and under. Outside we can offer a kids play park. Both of these options are available while the cafe is open.
Dog Friendly: Bring your furry friends ! All areas of our cafe and campsite are dog friendly, as long as you keep them on a lead of course, and meet our two resident collies, Morgan & Abbie

The Green Frog Fishery is home to two separate spring fed lochans situated in the town of Moffat in Dumfries & Galloway

Fly Fishing Lochan: A 4.5 acre fed with our own natural springs, gin clear lochan holding Blue, Brown and Rainbow Trout. Weights range from 3lb up to 12lb plus ! Angling here is strictly barbless hooks and fly only. Fish caught here can be returned or taken, depending on the permit and the fish.
Bait Fishing Lochan: The 1.5 acre “bait pond” is also fed by the same springs. In here you will find Rainbow and Blue Trout, maybe even the odd Brownie! Weights in here range from 2lb upwards. Bait fishing is “catch & keep” only. All fish caught here must be taken with no fish to be returned to the water. This is bait fishing only with live bait, sweetcorn or prawns. Spinners and Power Bait are prohibited here.
Stocking Levels: We keep both ponds well stocked. The Fly Pond is regularly topped up every two weeks by ourselves from a holding tank we have onsite. The Bait Pond is maintained at a level of around 400 fish and delivery is straight from Ae Fishery a short drive from Moffat.
Feed the Fish : You are more than welcome to visit our holding tanks and see the hundreds of fish that we hold, there is even a facility for the kids to feed the fish !
There is no need to book for fishing, unless you need a rod hire
