The Allanton Inn set in the centre of the peaceful conservation village of Allanton, Berwickshire, The Allanton Inn is a charming coaching inn dating from the eighteenth century.

Since 2010 William & Katrina Reynolds have owned and are constantly developing the Allanton Inn to offer the best quality hospitality in the area.

Katrina is delighted to return and live in the area where she grew up and her family have farmed for over 60 years.

Using their expertise from many years working in the hospitality industry and that of their dedicated team, William & Katrina have worked at transforming the inn to provide unparalleled hospitality and service in the Scottish Borders. A traditional dining pub, relaxed, friendly and professionally run, the inn welcomes locals, trade & business bookings, families, tourists and weekender’s alike.

Great care and pride are taken in all areas at The Allanton Inn to ensure the best Borders welcome and experience for all guests. The guests that come back time and time again and the positive online reviews reinforce the first class hospitality the inn endeavours to offer and is usually successfully achieving.

The inn offers informal dining in a modern, rural environment. There is an enclosed private beer garden with stunning open views over the Borders countryside, heated pods seating up to 6 people & large decked area, seating up to 40. A Pizza Shack operates in the beer garden in the summer months.

The individually styled seven bedrooms provide comfort and relaxation with homely charm & modern facilities, decorated with locally found animal designs on cushions, pictures & lamps plus in the muted colours of the surrounding countryside, such as greens, golds, greys & purples. All feature Egyptian cotton bedding and towels, comfortable seating, local art work, hospitality tray, TV and local information folders with Katrinas Top Tips of places to visit in the area.

The bar is well stocked with an extensive range of gins, spirits, good wines, soft drinks and hand pulled beers. Hot drinks are also served throughout the day.

The restaurant offers varied menus that showcase the wonderful local, seasonal and quality produce the area has to offer. Connections and well established relationships with local farmers and suppliers are utilised to source quality ingredients from this prime agricultural area. The dishes offered are carefully planned and time, skill and great care goes into serving the food on offer. The Inn prides itself on the high levels of service and great efforts are made in training and recruiting local staff who are friendly and conscious.

The Inn is central to the local community and is a regular meeting place for various local groups and individuals. It is a perfect retreat, stop over or an excellent base for exploring the many fascinating places of interest throughout the Scottish Borders and Northumberland and to indulge in the wealth of outdoor activities that the area has to offer.
