About Solway View Caravan and Camping Site

Solway View Campsite opened in 2007. We brought together our best camping memories and beautiful location to create Solway View. We hope you will enjoy a holiday here and make happy memories too.

Solway View is located within Balmangan Farm, a 330 acre working farm putting nature first. Any time of year, you can enjoy walking the farm/nature trail and the adjoining woodland. You will see lots of nature and may even see red squirrel or some roe deer.

Set beside the sea you can feel free to go paddling, wild swimming, fishing or simply enjoy the tranquillity of the little secluded bay just a short walk from the site. If you wish to spend the day at the beach there is two lovely bathing beaches, Brighouse Bay & Dhoon Bay just a short drive or bike ride away.

Our region, Dumfries & Galloway in South Scotland is full of stunning scenery. 200 miles of breath-taking coastline, glorious rolling hill ranges, forest park, Dark Skies Park and lush countryside. There are picturesque villages and towns dotted along the way. Borgue village is nearby and has a great pub with a very warm welcome and delicious food. The towns of Gatehouse-of-Fleet, Kirkcudbright & Castle Douglas are nearby and well worth a visit.
