Relaxed and informal restaurant serving local, seasonal food from the Scottish Borders. Local shop selling hot smoked salmon, duck, pheasant, pates etc.
Fresh bread and croissants available to order. Chef proprietor Roger prepares food with flare in an open kitchen while wife Bea looks after guest. They get fish from Ross Dougal in Eyemouth, meat from Martin Baird, Melrose, Game from Johnny near Kelso. Within easy walking distance from Melrose over the river Tweed on famous chain bridge. One of only a few restaurant's recommended by Michelin in the area.
