About Ross Bay Retreat

Our quartet of self catering holiday cottages, Ross Bay Retreat, was set up alongside our working farm at Ross Bay back in 2014. We have since had 700+ 5* reviews from our lovely guests we have been recognised as a Scottish Thistle Award Regional Final Winner for 2019/2020, a massive thank you to all our lovely guests we have had staying with us over the years for their wonderful reviews, return visits and ongoing support.

All our cottages at Ross Bay Retreat have been refurbished and well equipped to a very high standard and are all pet friendly. Wood burning stoves are provided for our guests within a very comfortable 'home from home' setting.

The cottages offer lovely views across the bay which affords some magnificent sunset views. Don’t forget to look upwards to the magnificent dark skies
later in the evenings.

Our quartet of seafront self catering cottages, and our cosy Retreataway at Ross Bay Retreat have uninterrupted views of the wonderful shoreline of Ross Bay. Enjoy the natural coastline, the abundant wildlife, birdlife and wildflowers.

Enjoy the sounds of silence and the tides rolling in and out over the salt marshes each day. Look across to Skiddaw in the Lake District, and enjoy the beautiful Solway. The sea is only a stones throw from the cottages and the views are just amazing! Location, location, location, when you want to get away from it all!

We have 4 self-catering holiday cottages & 1 x stylish bijou shepherds hut at Ross Bay Retreat available for guests to stay, all of which are dog friendly.

We have been increasing biodiversity here at Ross Bay with wildflower seeds / areas, and cleaning out / reinstating the old nearby dam. There is a Biomass boiler system servicing all cottages. We grow cereals in Yorkshire to bring up here for winter feed and straw for bedding.
