In a peaceful and secluded setting in a recently replanted Victorian fruit orchard, are two enchanting cottages, their setting being the more remarkable since it is only a few yards from the main street of Newton Stewart (all facilities) in ‘Bonnie Galloway’.
Expertly converted from what used to be a steading and the old town stables, they are now comfortable and beautifully appointed holiday homes, with open plan living areas and each with a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, thus ideal for guests of limited mobility. Outside there is private off road parking and each has a stylish patio (furniture) in addition to the orchard.
Newton Stewart is the ‘gateway’ to the hills and forests of Galloway with wonderful walking and famous mountain biking trails. The area is particularly rich in wildlife while Galloway is the site of Scotland’s first ‘Dark Sky Park’, and is one of the best places in the country for seeing the stars at night.
The nearby coast has sandy beaches, and the area hosts book, music, food and walking festivals of national repute.
