About Monteviot House and Gardens

The extensive gardens at Monteviot are all uniquely different with creative designs and plants intended to engage and excite all visitors. Often termed a gardener's paradise, the spectacular well-marked route includes a rose garden, herbaceous shrub borders, a water garden of islands linked by bridges, the Garden of Persistent Imagination and an arboretum. There are also great views over the River Teviot. Visitors in July can take advantage of the Monteviot House open days and enjoy tours provided by knowledgable guides.

Due to Monteviot House being used as a family home, it is open to the public during the month of July only.
