You are now in England. This bridge used to carry traffic over the Bowmont Water. However, today it is closed to traffic and it is a lovely peaceful spot. The Bowmont Water rises in the heart of the Cheviot Hills and, eventually, after many meanders, flows into the Tweed.
Will H Ogilvie spent 12 years in Australia as a young man. While there, he had many thoughts of home. He wrote this nostalgic tribute to the area where he grew up – Bowmont Water
