The Dunlop family bought High Kirkland from the local estate owner back in 1984 when the properties were then in a serious state of disrepair. Sheelagh, Robin and Donald renovated Robin's Nest, Heron View and the Byre to a very high standard.

Over the years they built up a great clientele and made many friends along the way.

Today the team of Donald, Vicki, Yvie and Anna are passionate about delivering the best service possible to our wonderful guests. The family quest continues...

Three well-equipped, self-catering cottages offer a capacity for up to 17 guests. Each cottage has its own hot tub. More recently they have upgraded the houses as they try to keep up with the trends. All are pet-friendly.

NEW. A large secure bike store brings a great excitement to the place with space for 20 bikes. With The 7 Stanes, World Series Gravel Bike Race, Coast to Coast route and Tour of Britain, cycling is very popular in the area.

Our region has something for everyone from outdoor adventure and sport, indoor activities and visitor attractions, history and heritage and foodie experiences. Our cottages are the ideal location to explore, relax and enjoy our region.
