There is an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area, with corner leather sofa and views over open farmland. The main lounge has an open fire, smart television and red leather sofas, it also has 2 red leather swivel chairs in the bay window which provides amazing sea views all day and stunning sunsets in the evening, when you have had enough for these views just swivel round to watch the television and /or the open fire. On the 1st floor there is a double bedroom with views over farmland and cliff tops and a bathroom with separate shower cubicle. The property is fully central heated with plenty of hot water on demand. It also has unlimited wifi and dogs are welcome at a small additional charge.

Helensdale is situated 3 miles from the seaside village of Drummore, which has a well stocked grocer's shop and a pub which serves food. It is 4 miles from the Mull of Galloway lighthouse, the most southerly point in Scotland, the RSPB reserve and the Gallie Craig Tearoom and gift shop. Mull of Galloway is also a destination on the SC300 and is the start or end of the Mull of Galloway Trail a coastal path to Stranraer.

The area is renowned for its beaches, many of which are often secluded and deserted and its gardens, the most famous of which is Logan Botanic, being warmed by the Gulf Stream, it is home to many exotic plants and the Potting Shed Bistro. The small fishing village of Portpatrick with its picturesque harbour is only 30 minutes drive from Helensdale and has a good selection of restaurants, some of which serve food all day, it is also the starting point for the Southern Upland Way, a splendid walk with wonderful views.
