About Generals Bridge

Squared and snecked rubble, voussoirs. Mutuled band at base of ashlar-coped parapet with curved approaches and rounded outer piers to W. Early photographs show a semicircular timber balustrade at SW. Thought to have been built by General MacKay but probably a replacement of that earlier structure.
