About Eyemouth Beach

Framed by the black rocks of the bay to the west and the harbour walls to the east, this fairly exposed East Coast beach is ideal for catching crabs and starfishes and offers quite reliable surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat.

There is an attractive coastal path running from the fishing village of St Abbs along the clifftops and beaches reaching Eyemouth, and excellent views of the beach can be had from the many paths around the surrounding coastline.

Despite being sheltered by the Hurkur Rocks, storms sometimes generate high waves and throw high plumes of spume into the air over the sea wall.
