Experience the stunning views from our secluded farm location just outside Melrose, whilst still enjoying the convenience of taking a short walk in to the beautiful market square and historic town centre. Incredible views at every turn and beautifully appointed accommodation help you make the most of a wonderful holiday in the Scottish Borders.

The collection comprises two log cabins and six holiday cottages. The eco-friendly log cabins are hand-built by local craftsmen and women using local materials and traditional log building techniques. Our first cabin, Reiver's Hideaway, won the "Best Green Holiday Home" in Europe award in 2021. Luxurious interiors, wood fired hot tubs and the most stunning position in front of the Eildon Hills provide the setting for memorable holidays for couples, families or groups of friends.

Our six holiday cottages are built within the old farm steading. These historic stone buildings with heaps of charm and character have been re-purposed to form beautiful holiday accommodation with stunning views over Melrose and the Tweed Valley. They range from one to three bedrooms and are perfect for couples, families and large groups of friends wishing to stay nearby to each other. All the cottages are heated by our eco-friendly biomass heating system and some of our properties also have outstanding facilities available for wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility.

If you like walking, with or without a dog, you will love the fabulous walks from the doorstep. The 3 peaks of the Eildon hills next to us, are the start of the St Cuthbert's Way, an iconic landmark in the area and a good challenge for keen walkers and adventurers. Melrose is a great central base for exploring the whole region of the Tweed Valley and Scottish Borders. There are beautiful Scottish Landscapes at every turn, fascinating historic sites throughout the area and day trips to Edinburgh on the scenic Borders Railway can be a great option for those wanting to visit the Scottish Capital.

The cottages are situated on an idylic two acre site with an orchard, woods and open garden areas with picnic tables and BBQs. We have provided everything you need to relax and unwind. The sunsets here are legendary and provide the perfect backdrop for an evening BBQ with friends and family.

Our luxury log cabins have their own private enclosed gardens with wood fired hot tubs, perfect for relaxing in with a glass of bubbly in hand or star gazing on dark winter nights. They also have firepits, charcoal BBQs and the views of the Eildon Hills will take your breath away! Inside the cabins, exposed log walls, cosy wood burning stoves and under-floor heating combined with crisp bed linen and luxurious furnishings throughout will transport you away from every day life and you will know you are on holiday!

We are accessed via a private road with no passing traffic so children can play safely and dogs can be walked off the lead when away from livestock.

Melrose has a unique mix of independent shops and a superb eateries. For guests wanting to cook, there's two butchers, two bakers, a greengrocer and a delicatessen all offering fantastic local produce. Or if you prefer a bit more convenience there's also a good Co-op supermarket in Melrose or several large supermarkets in Galashiels, around 5 miles away. For eating out there are several superb restaurants and cafes in Melrose and there's also several takeaway options too that will deliver delicious food. The properties vary in size from one to three bedrooms, and some are fully wheelchair accessible - best to visit our website for full details. In all eight properties we can sleep a total of 33 guests.
