About Carrickrigg

Turn left and head downhill towards Carrickrigg. (If you wish to amalgamate this walk with the Duncow West walk, you can turn right here.) Walking downhill, as you pass Sunnybrae on your left, look to the side of the gable end of the building where you will see a sculpture, “Child of Day in the Womb of Night” by Cyril Wilson. He and his wife, fellow artist Jane Fyfe, converted Sunnybrae into their gallery in 1962.
