About Cample Line

An independent arts organisation based rurally in south west Scotland.

CAMPLE LINE  are located at Cample Mill, 15 miles north of Dumfries. You will find us in a building that was once part of row of millworkers cottages.

Since we were established in late 2016, we have developed a public programme that includes exhibitions and screenings, readings, workshops, events and outreach projects.

Through our public activity we have been able to reach and engage wide-ranging audiences and participants.

It is important to us that through our programme we amplify a diversity of voices, places and experiences and promote equality, accessibility and inclusion.

We are very mindful of our location and the place we are in.  Even though our programme connects to all corners of the globe, our aim is that it can offer perspectives, experiences, creative opportunities and ways to participate as positive benefits to those around us.

We don’t do this alone. We ourselves benefit from the skills of a wide range of local contributors, from our neighbouring joinery firm to the creatives based in our region or those working at our local Academy, and they help us achieve high standards of presentation and quality of engagement and experience – for the artists as well as for our audiences – that we possibly can.

Teas and coffees available to purchase from our kitchen – with some indoor and outdoor seating
