About Burns Tours at The Globe Inn, Dumfries

Calling all fans of Scotland's national bard.
Embark on a unique journey through the life and legacy of Robert Burns at The Globe Inn, his favourite "howff" (haunt) in Dumfries.

Discover the Rooms Where Burns Lived, Loved, and Held Court:
This historic pub, established in 1610, offers more than just a pint and a good meal. It's a living museum where you can truly connect with the spirit of Rabbie Burns.

The Burns tour is led by our award-winning storyteller and tour guide, Kathleen Cronie.
Kathleen will take you through Burns time at The Globe Inn, exploring the rooms where he spent time writing some of his most important work.
You can sit in Burns own chair which is over 200 years old, but be warned, you might be challenged to recite some poetry or buy a round for the pub.
In Burns bedroom you can see the poetry he etched into the windowpanes with a diamond-tipped stylus.

Kathleen will captivate you with stories and insights into Burns' life and work, plus you will receive a dram of STORYMAN, our award-winning premium blend whisky, ideal to toast the bard. (Children receive a soft drink)
