Borgue

About Borgue

Borgue is a small village, 5 miles south-west of Kirkcudbright. There is a hotel in the centre of the village. The village's Parish Church was built in 1814 and designed by architect Walter Newall. Alterations were made 1897. However due to a dwindling congregation the church closed in August 2018. The churchyard still contains the Gothic mausoleum of the Gordons of Earlston.
