You may spot kingfishers, otters, ducks and herons on your visit and at the beginning of October a spectacular display of the Salmon jumping! Bonchester is a favourite for walkers, cyclists, those who like to kayak, paddle board, wild swimming and sight sightseers. The Abbey towns of Jedburgh, Melsrose, and kelso (our favourite!) make for a great day out with plenty of eateries too.
The local Inn, the Horse and Hounds located next door to the Park serves great food and drinks too, and the local community welcomes visitors like part of the family.
