About Blackpark to Threave/Bridge of Dee

Start at Market Hill Carpark in Castle Douglas. This walk consists of gentle terrain from Castle Douglas on made up paths to Threave. There are options on the path to loop into toward Threave Garden (NTS Tearoom). Or to NTS Threave Estate with option of a ferry to Threave Castle home of the Douglas’s. Continue the walk and you might be lucky to see ospreys.

There is a route onwards to Bridge of Dee village where you could choose to make your way by quiet minor roads back to Castle Douglas.
