About Berwickshire Marine Reserve

The Berwickshire coastline is a unique place. The stunning underwater architecture and mix of warm water and cold water currents has helped to create an environment that is teeming with life. Our aims are to build cooperation between all the reserve's stakeholders, inspire the next generation of ocean adventurers, conserve biodiversity, promote responsible recreation, and help ensure a sustainable fishery. This ‘grass roots’ form of marine management has no statutory basis, and relies on people’s good will to work together for common aims.
