Abbey St Bathans is situated in a wooded valley which follows the Whiteadder Water. The village centres on the Kirk and has a footbridge, know locally as the Gurkha bridge, which was built by Gurkha soldiers in 1987. The village has parking, a café and is on the Southern Upland Way.
