William Trotter Furniture Study Day

Join furniture historian David Jones and Paxton House’s Curator, Dr Fiona Salvesen Murrell, for a masterclass study day examining the internationally important Trotter furniture collection at Paxton House, Berwickshire.

Areas such as furniture type, technical construction, ornament, and timber finishes will be covered in detail with hands-on analysis. We will explore the new interpretation and exhibitions shortlisted for the Museums Change Lives award, and reveal discoveries made during recent research and conservation treatment.
